The One-Night Plays Where We Can't Be Who We Want To Be
The banner is a Chin Up Chin Up crop that didn't turn out so well. The plan, we'll call it What-I-Wanted-To-Do, was to capture all of the instrumental components. Due to the space constraints of this semi-custom template, the bass and keyboard are not seen. The music these guys create is supreme. The lyrics never make sense but I can relate, I'm weird like that.
This Harness Can't Ride Anything is a [punch in the face], and if you know me, a [punch in the face] is definitely a good thing. The lyrics 'everyones afraid of one-night plays where they can't be who they want to be' describe what used to be my trouble. As you may know, I was the epitomic pushover/people pleaser who had no identity. I played the roles that were given to me. Now, I understand I'm quite weird and quirky and comfortable being so.
When I began this blog it was not too personal. The name was Conventional Representation, for no reason. It had no identity and I would quote lines from movies and music lyrics. [Fuck] that. Now its 'weird' as I hear a lot, and someone was tripping on shrooms when they said its 'fascinating'. Now its Indie Progressive Life. Its my genre, its me. Experimental, everchanging, and against the grain.
For the reason I don't say much and the [shit] that goes through my vague machine is [. . .], my sound is a melodic instrumental with wicked intros and manic percussions and very few lyrics, such as the band described above. When words are spilled its mostly distorted. Not everyone will like me, not everyone will know about me.
I have replaced Iron & Wine! Its back on my mp3 player. Everyone should check out Maritime, Sunset Rubdown, and Eisley. I promise you will not be disappointed. More on them later.
i'll be your weather [or not]
