The Scopitonic Life

The Scopitonic Life

I finally found Punch Drunk Love. The Two Disc Special Edition was only $9.99 at Best Buy. The party scene, The Smell of Blood is relative to an even I attended Saturday night. A birthday party for myself and a family friend, in which I was invited to hours before the commencement.

A few members of my family were there and loads of the other Gemini's friends who I introduced myself to. . .awkwardly. The relation between my and Barry Egan's party were the comments that were made to him that led him to smash the sliding glass doors in his sister's house. Of course, most comments were about my weight because I didn't want to eat. I didn't smash anything, but I did attempt to make a smooth getaway, to no avail. The awkward introductions I had to make myself were no match to the uncomfortable parting. The anxiety.

The Bonus Feature disc in the Special Edition of Punch Drunk Love is exceptional. It brings together the elements that makes this one of my favorite. Jon Brion, Leslie Jones, Jeremy Blake and Paul Thomas Anderson bring their expertise together in shorts and features that are exquisite. Blossoms and Blood and the Scopitones are extremely artistic and are just what I explained in the previous post concerning the score and visual interludes. Sandy isn't half bad either.

I enjoyed a pretty lengthy conversation last night, although I do not enjoy speaking over the phone. I think I held it together quite well.

Bedroom Walls are nice. In Anticipation of Your Suicide has been in my mp3 player for quite a while, I just added a few more. 31 Knots has been there a while too. I added some Coheed & Cambria. Check out this video for Kanye West's new single. Just mute the audio and appreciate the visuals....the 'smoke and mirrors' if you will.
