The Same Old Blood Rush...

The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch

Cute Is What We Aim for is a guilty pleasure for me, along the lines of Hellogoodbye. Its good music but after listening to a few tracks and singing along, you feel like never listening to them again, but you repeat the song.

Sad old news I guess, The Early November is coming to an end. Its not one of those band break-ups over rehab and ego, they just want to live normal lives. Its only been a year since they were introduced to me and I fell in love with them. They have that garage band sound that is appealing to me, but their last and what turns out to be their final album, The Mother, The Mechanic And The Path was far from the amature feel.

An emotional story that spanned three discs was a unique and ambitious release and in my opinion, if it were a movie it would be a cult-classic. The skits or 'sessions' on the third disc, The Path are snippets from one of the characters counseling sessions and I think it gave the album a true and honest feel.

My favorite songs from The Mother, The Mechanic And The Path are 1000 Times A Day and A Bigger Meaning. Something That Produces Results is my favorite song from The Early November.

I feel compelled to write about my adventures the other day. I'm the type of person who like to be prepared for any situation. I'd plan a simple trip to the grocery store but before I go I'd break down and analyze traffic, parking, map out my course and unsuccessfully attempt to estimate a round-about total. All of these I believe would maximize my time and basically make life easier.

This particular day I was out of my element. Sitting around preparing to catch a match between AC Milan and Manchester United I realize I might be...how do I put this....hungry. I decide on tuna and crackers, I already have the tuna but I don't have the crackers. Perfect opportunity to enjoy the weather and also a chance to make yet another appearance at my local Publix. It seems like I go 3 times a week.I'm there to get a single package of Ritz crackers...but I make a stop for fresh fruit, sushi, soup, Ben & Jerry's (I had a coup) and Dew. I ended up with 11 items but continue towards the '10 items or less' aisle, bad man I am. I get up to the register and just so happens I forgot my card. I mean its not in my wallet, where else could it be? Lately I've been utilizing the chest pocket on my button up shirts. I place receipts and sometimes my card in it when I don't feel like reaching into my right ass cheek for my wallet.

Before the cashier scans my stuff I try to hurry and refill my hand basket. It took a while to take all 11 items off of the conveyer and there was a line. All of the planning I do not to look like an ass, I do anyway. I'm reverse shopping, going up and down aisles putting food back. I wanted to just hide the basket in one of the freezers in the frozen foods aisle but I think about the joke I heard from Dane Cook's Retaliation. He says never leave your basket, not even for a second. 'God forbid somebody comes in the store and wants the exact same shit. And they're like, jackpot, this is everything I wanted'.

_What was supposed to be a 15 minute outing turned into 45. And what a waste of time writing and reading this_
